DARTFORD CROSSING: new payment system.
A new way of paying to use the Dartford Crossing in England is being introduced on 2014. Dart Charge will help reduce congestion and ease traffic flow.
The A282 Dartford Crossing links the M25 motorway between Dartford in Kent and Thurrock in Essex. It crosses the River Thames, east of London.
You must pay the charge if you use the Dartford Crossing between 6am and 10pm.
Charges apply every day - including weekends and bank holidays.
You can get a £70 fine if you do not pay the charge. You must pay it within 28 days.
Instead of stopping at the barriers, you will pay the Crossing charge in advance or by midnight the day after your journey. By using the service provided by CTI CIRIOTTO, you will not need to make reservations because vehicles will be enabled for transit, benefiting from the payment terms as for the other services already in place with us.
